Do you have any holey jumpers or blankets?
Come and learn how to repair them in a visible way using the therapeutic technique darning. During this online workshop Abigail will guide you through the step by step process of how to darn damaged knitwear using some wonderful tools and yarns.
The workshop is online and happening through Abigails instagram which you can find here.
For the workshop please bring; sharp scissors, a blunt tapestry needle for darning, a damaged garment with a small hole you can practice on, a firm orange or if you have it a wooden darning mushroom and a yarn most similar to your garment in weight but not necessarily colour!
“I took part in one of Abigail's online embroidery classes over Zoom as a completely embroider beginner. I received a wonderful pack of materials, including a really lovely reusable embroidery hoop. The class was in a small group, so everything was personalised to our skill levels and Abigail was able to check in on us and talk through our design choices.
I learned several different stitches and techniques, and made my own embroidery that I'm so proud of! It was a lovely evening at a relaxed pace.
